Maritess Zurbano is the only Filipina-American magician and hypnotist in history. She is a former Las Vegas croupier, former member of a professional baccarat team, and had her own illusion show in Japan. Zurbano competed in the coveted world championships of magic (also known as the Olympics of Magic) at the Fédération Internationale des Sociétés Magiques in Lisbon against 150 other nominated magicians.
