David Austin is a Nashville-based singer/songwriter and recent graduate of the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music. His original songs detail the loves, characters, anxieties and adventures that have colored his journey thus far with a poetic vividness that takes much inspiration from the early works of Bruce Springsteen. He has built up a deep repertoire of popular music from the past 40 years and performs a mixture of both covers and originals at his shows. His musical influences include John Mayer, Ed Sheeran, and Dave Matthews Band, among many others. Austin released his debut album Southwood Waltz in April of 2019 and played a sold-out release show at the Hotel Café in Hollywood, followed by week-long tour of the San Francisco bay area.
